Joseph Veltman, Jr., PhD Receives 2005 AAIM Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Integrative Medicine

Dr. Joseph Veltman, Jr. was presented with the American Association of Integrative Medicine’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Field of Integrative Medicine at the AAIM National Conference in San Diego, CA on September 30, 2005.

Dr. Veltman received this award for his contribution in hosting the Integrative Medicine radio show on www.voiceamerica.com. Dr. Veltman also presented,   “ Nutrigenomics and Pharmacogenomics in an Integrative Medicine Practice” at the conference.

Dr. Veltman is a fellow in the American Association of Integrative Medicine and a Diplomate in the College of Clinical Nutrition. He is a clinician with his own integrative medicine practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico; prior to that he practiced in New York, where he was co-director and co-founder of an integrative medicine center. He holds a doctorate from the University of Georgia in nutritional biochemistry and was a professor in the Nutritional Sciences Department at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He received training in experiential psychotherapy and has participated in numerous workshops on psychotherapy and psychology. His current clinical interest centers on using predictive genomics to help personalize and individualize various integrative medicine therapies and modalities to create better outcomes for his patients.
