AAIM Member Dr. Joe Veltmann Hosts Integrative Medicine Radio Show on VoiceAmerica™
VoiceAmerica™ Health & Wellness Channel, a division of VoiceAmerica™ Network,recently added AAIM member Joe Veltmann, Ph.D., as the host of a weekly talk radio show, Integrative Medicine with Dr. Joe Veltmann. This is the only radio talk show available today that explores the scientific basis for integrative medicine for the layperson and the professional, uncovering and discovering the web-like interconnections between the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies and how they relate to disease.
Each program will be divided into four segments, the first being the “News to Use” section, in which Dr. Veltmann will highlight the latest findings in the area of mind-body-spirit research. Dr. Veltmann will also provide the listener with a “take home” message that can be easily integrated into his or her life.
The next segment will be devoted to interviews with prominent integrative medicine practitioners, exploring the modalities and therapies that are used in their practices.

The third segment of the show will be called the “Integrative Medicine Notebook.” In this segment, Dr. Veltmann will relate his experiences with clients that he has personally treated in his office using his integrative system of health and wellness composed of seven foundational elements and their multiple interactions, called GENESIS (genes, environment, nutrition, exercise, stress, immunity/inflammation, and spirituality).
The last segment of the show will consist of questions and answers from listeners or questions that have been emailed to Dr. Veltmann during the week.
Dr. Veltmann is well qualified to host this exciting new radio show. He is a fellow in the American Association of Integrative Medicine and a Diplomate in the College of Clinical Nutrition. He is a clinician with his own integrative medicine practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico; prior to that he practiced in New York, where he was co-director and co-founder of an integrative medicine center. He holds a doctorate from the University of Georgia in nutritional biochemistry and was a professor in the Nutritional Sciences Department at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He received training in experiential psychotherapy and has participated in numerous workshops on psychotherapy and psychology. His current clinical interest centers on using predictive genomics to help personalize and individualize various integrative medicine therapies and modalities to create better outcomes for his patients.
