Treatment of Patient with Enlarged Prostrate

The body is an incredible machine. This case history is about a 66 year old man who came to Delmarva Health Centre in Late December 2005 complaining of an enlarged prostate. He had fallen from a ladder on a construction site in June of 1986 and broke his L1 vertebrae. He had a Harrington Rod inserted in his spine. The rods were removed in 1994. Urination problems began 20 years ago with the fracture, and have progressively gotten worse. In December 2005, he state, “very little output and very painful to the point of causing extreme rectal pressure and bleeding”. He went to an Urologist who recommended surgery for an enlarged prostrate.

In December of 2005, the gentleman came to the Delmarva Health Centre in Delmar, DE. He was examined and treated for the above symptomology. Treatment consisted of massage therapy specific to the area concerned, manual manipulation/adjustment, then acupuncture. He was retaining two quarts of urine at the time and after his initial office visit, it was expelled and the patient was feeling better. On his 3 rd office visit he stated that he had was continuing to be able to urinate. What a happy and relieved person! After a few treatments, the patient began using a Chinese herb from Kan Herbs that clears damp heat in the body. Overall, he is much better. He does not want surgery and can live a normal life after 20 years of having this problem. The patient is still under care on a bi-monthly basis.
