AAIM's advocacy for broader treatment options facilitates a bond between integrative and Western medicine, and researchers from all specialties to compare notes and combine forces, benefiting both the patient and the health care provider.
The American Association of Integrative Medicine (AAIM) offers prestigious credentialing programs. The Board Certified in Integrative Health.
The Board Certified in Integrative Health, BCIH® credential provides opportunities to show your clients and peers your accomplishments as an integrative health care practitioner. To become Board Certified in Integrative Health, BCIH®, you must be qualified to deal with patients or clients in an area of traditional, alternative or complementary health care.
Eligible candidates for BCIH® include but are not limited to the following:
- • Certified Mental Health Professionals
- • Herbalists
- • Homeopaths
- • Massage Therapists
- • Naturopaths
- • Nutritionists
- • Reflexologists
- • Reiki Practitioners
- • Other practitioners of complementary and alternative healthcare modalities
Requirements:
- • Current certification in your specialty (if applicable)
- • Minimum of three years experience in the field
- • Attain 100 points on the application or pass the BCIH® exam
