Robert O'Block, one of the Co-Founders of The American Association of Integrative Medicine (AAIM), announced today that the association is adding a bi-monthly online newsletter to its growing list of member benefits. AAIM was founded by O'Block along with Dr. David E. Rosengard to create a place where professionals from Western and complementary medicine models could come together as peers to bring effective, safe and affordable health care to their patients and clients.

AAIM's goal is to push the boundaries beyond labels like "traditional" and "alternative" and to eliminate barriers, enabling practitoners to find the most favorable approaches for their patients. AAIM recognizes that a multidisciplinary approach to medicine provides the maximum therapeutic benefit. AAIM's advocacy for broader treatment options facilitates a bond between integrative and Western medicine. The end result is an association that provides a gathering place for healers, educators and researchers from all specialties to compare notes and combine forces.

The newsletter will include exclusive interviews with the leading figures in the field of integrative medicine, articles on a diversity of timely and relevant integrative medicine topics, valuable business tips on how to build a successful integrative medicine practice, a column discussing members' most fascinating cases, member profiles, news and updates on recent happenings within AAIM and stories about developments and breakthroughs within the field of integrative medicine.

The name for the newsletter will be announced shortly. AAIM members have the opportunity to submit their suggestions for a name for the newsletter. The member who selects the winning name will receive a credit towards future membership renewal fees or apply it towards their conference registration fees at the upcoming AAIM National Forum which will be held September 30, 2005, in San Diego, California.
